Ken Barat will be the key presenter at SLSC 2011. Ken Barat holds the position of Laser Safety Officer at Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory, CA. He is the author of books on laser safety, and is a dedicated and appreciated lecturer in laser safety also outside of his workplace. In 2009, Ken Barat was awarded with the "R.James Rockwell, Jr. Educational Acheievement Award" for exceptional acheievements in laser safety training.
